If you have been reading my blog, you know that I occasionally love to do what I call “Kinderviews,” or basically interviews with my son at different ages of his life. I have finally gotten around to doing one since I have not in a while! Syrus loves doing them, so here is one at age 9.5.
Yes. He is going to be ten this year. I know. That flew by. Anyway, here we go!

Syrus: Syrus Voltaire Corter
Mom: Are you left-handed or right-handed?
Syrus: “LEFT! MOM, YOU KNOW THIS!”
Mom: And what grade are you in now?
Syrus: Fourth
Mom: How old are you now?
Syrus: “NIIIIINE”
Mom: What is your favorite animal?
Syrus: “Humans. Humans are animals, mom.”

Mom: What is your favorite sport to play?
Syrus: Basketball
Mom: What about your favorite outdoor activities to play?
Syrus: “Playing Nerf and tag”
Mom: Who is your favorite superhero?
Syrus: “Sy-Man because he has every superpower.”(Sy-Man is a superhero we made up with him when he was little.)
Mom: What are some of your favorite foods?
Syrus: Salad + Pizza
Mom: What is your favorite color?
Syrus: Light blue

Mom: What is your favorite tabletop game to play?
Syrus: “Perfection – because mom gets scared when it pops!”
Mom: What is your favorite toy?
Syrus: “Nerf Airstrike”
Mom: What are your favorite things about school?
Syrus: “Friends and recess”
Mom: What is your favorite subject?
Syrus: “Gym, because I run!”
Mom: Do you have a favorite candy?
Syrus: “Gum” (He JUST got his braces off, so he is pretty happy he can chew gum again!)

Mom: Do you have plans on furthering your education?
Syrus: “No, college is boring.”
Mom: Do you have a favorite television show?
Syrus: “Henry Danger”
Mom: Who do you plan on voting for this year?
Syrus: “Bernie Sanders”
Mom: What age are you turning this year?
Syrus: “10 – I’ll be mature and in double digits!”(Don’t mind me in the corner subtly crying because my baby is growing up.)
Mom: Do you have a favorite book?
Syrus: “Call Of The Wild”

Mom: How about a favorite song?
Syrus: “Phantom Dancing by CG5”
Mom: I heard you play an instrument. What is it?
Syrus: “Trumpet”
Mom: Finally, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Syrus: “A cop because they are daring!”
Honestly, these are so much fun to do. It is a blast to chronicle his answers and how they differ over the years! I’ll be sure to update when he hits the big 1-0 this year!
I love this idea! You can look at how your child’s answers change as they get older.
