I received free products in exchange for my honest review.
We all know self-care is important, no matter what way you engage in it! One way I like to do this is to use lotions on my skin that smell good. They help to ground me in the moment, and keep my stress levels down. It’s what works for me.
There aren’t too many different kinds of skincare or body lotions that I use daily. I’m pretty picky. But when I stumbled across Explicit Essentials, not only did I absolutely love their company name, but when I got a whiff of their Zero Fucks Given shea body butter, I fell in love in an instant.
I’m normally totally a Bath and Bodyworks girl, but this body butter, this is something even more incredible than that. Plus, it has a scent of warm vanilla and candied fig, and I can’t tell you how much I adore this scent. Not to mention, it also makes my skin feel very soft, and when you have dry skin like me, this is key.
Their sweet red raspberry shea body butter smells just like summer to me. It also helps that I really love raspberries. But I digress. I use this body butter typically on my arms and legs, and they are so soft.
Before I go any further, let me tell you a little bit more about why I think this is an amazing company.
Everything is handmade there
They do not use any unnecessarily harsh chemicals in their products.
100% made by women creators
That’s why I think I mesh so well with it, all those simple ingredients instead of the nasty chemicals that can be found in other self-care products. They even have different themed subscription boxes each month, so you can always have something new on hand!
Not to mention that swearing itself has some benefits when it comes to chronic pain! So it was a hell to the yeah on trying these products! Now onto more fun treats!
This sugar scrub from their “Bitch Relax” line not only helps to exfoliate my skin (also proving to be another mindfulness experience), but it also smells very relaxing, which I find adds to the whole experience of using it! Lavender and sweet mint come together in a lovely dance of scents that will help you wash away the stress of the day.
Okay, so I am always losing my lip balms. I’m sticking some of these in my purse. PiPSTERS know how it is! I received four lip balms in total. I think my favorite though, is the “Bad Ass Bitch” lip balm. It smells just like a Pina Colada and is super light and fruity! Plus, this lip balm, as opposed to other popular ones, actually stayed on my lips while I ate and drank for the most part. Scents include:
- Bad Ass Bitch: Pina Colada
- Zero Fucks Given: Mixed Berries
- Fresh Out Of Fucks: Strawberry
- Bitch Relax: Lavender and Spearmint
Another “Zero Fucks Given” product, and I love it! Normally, I do purchase body wash at the store, but this stuff is fabulous. It’s in my absolute favorite scent in their line, and after I get out of the shower, my skin feels incredibly soft. So after my shower with this body wash, I toss on some of that “Zero Fucks Given” shea body butter, and boy do I feel great after I step out of the shower!
So, you know how summer can be sometimes. Especially for us ladies. We sweat in places we really don’t want to. I mean, that goes for anyone, really. This anti-chafing powder, aptly named “Calm Your Tits” does what exactly it is meant to do. I use it often, and also use it on my thighs too, since I’m a bigger girl. They also have ones for men, too! I’ll link below!
We don’t have a large tub, so bath bombs are kind of out of the question. But shower steamers are quite the equivalent that I have found. I remember purchasing a brand of shower steamers for Christmas for my sister. But let me tell you this, these things smell amazing. My sister absolutely loved these and scooped them up for herself, which I don’t mind. They do help to melt away stress after a long day. Look how happy she is:
She is holding Rosemary Mint Shower Fizzes, in the “Fresh Out Of Fucks” set. She told me she completely loved them and would definitely use them again. She loves the shower steamers. She works long days, and to toss one in the shower and relax, she needs it!
All in all, I was super excited and very pleased with Explicit Essentials and their wide array of products. They definitely deserve a peek to see if there is anything that may interest you! I will link to various spots below:

The products sound amazing, think there are better ways to alleviate pain without swearing though.
I totally understand chronic illness and pain as my daughter has ME and Fibromyalgia.

Sounds like some nice products. Love that they are cruelty free!
I like raspberry scented items. I’d be happy to try that body butter.
These slogans are hilarious and would definitely make me smile when using them. The body butter in sweet raspberry scent sounds so good x
I love their branding, it is very bold and direct. It’s great that the products are also handmade and cruelty-free, which should be a given for every beauty product these days. I would like to try that Pina Colada balm, that’s one of my favourite scents.
Oh I love the sound of a shower steamer, definitely not heard of these before!
This brand sounds great. I love the name of their products. The body butter sounds amazing and I need some of that chafing cream

These sound great!! Thanks for the review. I had to go searching for ingredients though as I am allergic to coconut and so many natural products are using it these days without thinking of the allergy potential so it’s not listed anywhere as an allergen. Other than that the review is written very well to where I could smell the scents in my mind. I wish I was able to try some of these products.
