Mission Statement
Why We’re Here
Pain can be a heavy burden to bear, but it doesn’t have to weigh us down every day. For those living with chronic pain, finding moments of positivity in the midst of pain is an important mission. A little bit of laughter and levity can go a long way in lifting spirits. There are many ways for people with chronic pain to seek out positivity in their lives, even when the physical pain may not be manageable. Finding humor in small moments of everyday life or taking time for self-care activities like reading, listening to music, or meditation can help give individuals suffering from acute or chronic pain a respite from the discomfort they experience regularly. It’s also important to talk about one’s feelings with friends and family members as well as seek professional help if necessary; having support systems can bring more joy into our lives regardless of our current condition. Even if you don’t have a support system.
NOW YOU DO. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY.
Positivity in Pain exists to uplift, connect, and empower those living with chronic illness. Through storytelling, advocacy, and creative expression, we challenge stigma and celebrate resilience. This space is built on the belief that even in pain, joy and connection are possible—and that every voice deserves to be heard, honored, and embraced.
The most important aspect here at PiP is the community that we have built and that we continue to build. Many have forged lifelong friendships. In order to be added to our extremely private Facebook group, PiPSTER’S Place, please send me an email requesting an invite! I just have to vet it to make sure nothing bad gets in the group!
