So, summer is finally here! The sun is out, it’s warm, and we’re just about halfway to the holiday season already; I’ve seen the posts floating around social media! But, as you would expect, not all of them are, well, legit.

This one is actually quite fun. We all go food shopping, right? Grab groceries on the way home? We always get a receipt for our orders. Well, I’ve been saving my receipts in a sandwich bag and putting them away so I know where they are. Every week you can scan receipts that aren’t 2 weeks and older. Certain brands give you a ton of points; others give you 50 to 100 here and there. But no matter what, you always get a 25-point bonus for scanning any kind of grocery receipt. I actually used this last year for some Christmas shopping! I cashed out about $50 (see screenshot below!) and it was like it was found money! They have gift cards for just about anything you can imagine. Gift cards start at $3, and when you sign up, you automatically get 2,000 points, which is just 1,000 points away from that $3 gift card! Mistplay

I have to say, at first I was pretty skeptical about Mistplay. An app that pays you for playing games?

I hemmed and hawed about it a little bit. Ultimately, I bit and decided to give it a try. They have a decent variety of games that you can choose from. Word games, puzzle games, tycoon games, you name it, they probably have it there. Being a writer, I prefer word games! But I do enjoy bingo, too. The point is to browse the Mistplay lobby to see where the games are and choose a game. You then download it. Whenever you would like to play that game and earn units (what you can trade in for things like Paypal or Amazon, just for example), simply go into the Mistplay app and find the game, and it loads, and your gameplay data is logged! I already have enough for an Amazon gift card, as you can see in the screenshot below!

Rakuten is another one that is easy to earn on! You may remember it as Ebates! Now it is Rakuten! I’ve been using it, and I love it. I simply shop at my favorite online stores and cashback is usually put in in less than 2 days. It really is, shop, earn, do it again!
